* ALEKS (Math) directions and due dates for the year: 
Students are required to complete 120 minutes and 8 topics, OR complete 12 topics, every 2 weeks using these due dates:

Expectations:
Read for 30 minutes, at least 5 times a week. RECORD reading on the tracker – always due the same date as ALEKS.
Read 10 times in 2 weeks; that’s 10 times, NOT 10 books.
Change genres; all are great, but reading chapter books is important to build your skills

As you are reading, highlight evidence that would help you determine the cartographer’s words to live by, add a comment explaining what the evidence tells you about the cartographer, and infer by adding to the comment creating words to live by for each cartographer.
